Attempt at realism, I'm not there yet but it is good enough to post I think.

it is real gool .I love that lightnine. It doing that here now lol. . got a lot of depth to this. I think you got the storm down good. Guess the rock formation do not look real here. Maybe change the texture and shape of the rock. Not really sharp edge like you have it here. Now if it a tree truck that is broken here then you may like to show some of the tree that is upright and where it broke then the sharp edge like you have is good just show a little of the upright part of the tree so people know what it is. You can leave it there where it at in the forgound.

Thanks Jock. I wish I had thought of a broken tree. It would have been another good realism touch. Man, the hard part was hitting the render button at the exact instant to capture the lightning, LOL.

This is a great landscape - full of energy: the storm is excellent! The angled terrain increases the tension! Well done! I enjoyed your quip about "hitting the render button at the exact instant" too :-)
