I was 7
You were 8
Everything was great
I was to young to know
What love was
I only knew
I wanted to around you
But there was that forbidden thing
Between you and me
That fruit we were not allowed to eat
But that was 40 years ago
Those thoughts had long since past
Then I saw you the other day
And everything came back
Now I still don

At those ages, the only forbidden fruit should be, "don't eat the apples off the neighbor's tree without permission, and stay out of the strawberries because I'm going to pick them for a pie!"
