My mother hates this one lol...
This idea came into form sort of as a happy accident, as I was playing around with this photo that came out myspacy. I wanted to play on this stereotype and change it entirely. I liked the oppressive POV, and a reversed inferiority in the demon. This is to show a demon within my slef - they say the darker forces that drag us down come from within us.... destruction comes from within. What if a stronger force had control? In the light of Christ, demons are shown for what they really are... even demons tremble in the presence of God.

Wow you "dark artists" really know how to hit a nerve... I think I agree with your Mom...although It does'nt hurt to have your soul shaken awake every once and a while by a visual feast such as this. Perhaps what bothers me is that beneath the post work is the visage of a beautiful, creative person who has been defaced by their own demons. Shine bright in the darkness...and just for the record I both love to hate this work of art and hate to love it at the same time...5+++

It's an incredibly powerful piece of art. I love the eerie, mirrored feel this has. I think you made a very strong and haunting image, here. The best part for me is that you didn't make your own image 'sharp'...It's like you're under water and I get the feeling you can't breathe. I actually 'feel' that... I hope you'll keep expressing yourself this way. It's poignant and even though it's disturbing, it's also wonderful...because it's so raw and honest... Kudos.
