Description

Recently I visited an ancient oak forest. They say the oaks are 800 years old. It is a small preserve (90 acres) of dwarf live oaks. I had a great opportunity to explore it. This is a first image from that place. I'm planning to have 8-10 in this seria to reflect the essense of this place. Your comments are welcome. Best regards, Igor.

That is incredible! I've not seen such an atmospheric piece for a long time, and then it was with ultra violet film. Have you done much postwork to this?

Almost no postwork which is unusual for me. Taken with a Canon 1ds II, processed in Adobe Lightroom, converted to bw, adjusted curves. Thanks for the comment, Igor.

Beautiful shot. I love the black and white. Gives it a kind of 'eerie' feel.

A really splended photo. Seems I have seen a lot photos in this style, even taken some myself, but few really work. This one really does work. Excellent shot!
