Description

As there is quite a bit of interest in this I thought I'd post a WIP render. The skin shader is pretty much done. There are some issues with the freckle and pore masks I made that modulate how much those show up and where. I'm not very good at painting masks. If anybody wants to try their hand at it and contribute better masks, I'm interested. There are 5 kinds of procedural skin detail generators - two kinds of spots, freckles, moles, and capillaries. I'm pretty happy with the pores - look at the nose and cheeks. (Click to see full size) They're 100% procedual pores. They're still a bit to regularly spaced, but I'll work that out. I did some work on the teeth. They're close but need more adjustment. I haven't yet touched the inner mouth (that's why it is too pink in this render) or the lacrimals. Also I have some wierdness going on in the eyes. I think forgot to get rid of the painted-on highlight. I also want to try using displacement to bulge the cornea and dip the iris. They look too flat. More to come - stay posted. Any suggestions? Feel free to let me know.
