I get so...disgusted reading the news out of Washington anymore...with the 4th coming up, I can't believe how far we've sunk. Don't get me wrong, I love my country---enough to despair as I watch these beasts of hell ravage and tear her apart. I just wish we had good people in charge instead of these jackals...

Common Cause has a pretty cool new head. I think we'll see some pushback coming up. I'd settle for some sunshine laws for a start--what part of "Public" office don't those nitwits in the Beltway understand? And the Bill of Rights part of the Constitution is a remarkable easy-to-understand document, granting everyone (Tim McVey, Charlie Manson, the Unabomber) the right to a fair, public trial, facing their accusers. Interestingly the Constitution does not say "All Americans are created equal" but "All men are given by their Creator certain Inalienable rights, the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" Somehow with this Bill of Rights we have survived bombings on Wall Street by anarchists, a Civil War, a great Depression, and two World Wars. If the Constitution falls it was because we were pussies.
