Thought I'd ring the changes for the time being and venture further afield!!
When we visited Cape Town and few years ago, one of the main things my husband wanted to do was visit a black township. We went on a Sunday with an escort, as we were not allowed to go on our own. It was an amazing experience and, as it was Sunday, there were lots of children around.
I will be sharing some of the photos I took of them in this next little series of mine. To kick off, I thought this was the most colourful bank I had ever seen in my life!

This is great and a view of another culture at work. I can't imagine not being free to travel and see things as you please. I can't imagine a black township as far as that goes... we are so mixed here that there are only a few black-only neighborhoods left. So very interesting and I love the cultural feel.

Say, with all those advertisements, that is one commercialized bank, for sure! It looks so carnival-like and hokey, I hope the deposits are protected by some federal laws out there. I wonder if the bank gives loans and the accounts accumulate interest. Fine capture taken way down under, in the hinterlands, Eileen!
