Description
A male and female eastern grey kangaroos. I'm always surprised by the size difference. The big male was full of bravado and posturing when I got near to him but he was the only one to hop off into the nearby hillside--the females stayed put and let me get fairly close to them. So much for male courage !!! Each group of kangaroos has a dominant male with a "harem", in this case about a dozen females. I saw other males some distance away and they're obviously this fellow's rivals in the future.

I'd hate to tangle with him! Massive. Slow to anger, perhaps, but explosive temper when pushed I'm sure. Wonderful shot.

Adorable. Roos must be like horses. One stallion also has a harem of mares and challenges other males in the same way.

Great capture especially with the eye contact....lovely detail in the fur they look to be almost posing :o)
