Description

When I took this picture yesterday, the dragon was super crisp and clear .. but it was the lighting that told me to "Paint it". So, I did. Using Painter8 and some PS tweaks, this is what I came up with. Personally, I am quite pleased with it. I know it isn't some peoples style, but being as I would give just about anything to be a 'real' painter, this is the next best thing to being one. lol I hope you had a great weekend; now let's have a wonderful new week. I like it. Even if I can't find it in my new Dragonfly identification reference book, lol. The wing colors say male Widow Skimmer but the body colors say female Widow skimmer. It is my conclusion that you painted the white onto the wings and IMHO, you did a great job of it I completely understand the desire to paint and the frustration of not being talented enough to do so. I seldom post any of the images I have played with but trust me, you are not alone in venting some artistic energy with digital painting/editing. It is a shared vice, lol. Lee
