Description

Went tonight for another shoot at the QM in LB CA. Wasn't happy with the ones from the weekend. As recommended in the book "understanding exposure" I have been shooting everything in Manual mode. It's been a good learning exp. so far. Takes some getting use to as well. Its not rare that I take a few shots and forget one setting or another. But I am getting there. As for the image, this is a 2 image pano stitched together using ArcSoft's Panorama maker. Shot at 8:30pm (sunset was 8:07) on a tripod. Shutter: 2 sec. F/5.6 ISO: 200 Thanks for looking. Also for the comments on my last image. B PS FULL VIEW FOR BEST LOOK.

Wow this looks fantastic! The two second exposure of light at twilight makes this look like an early morning shot or just lit with a magical sort of light - I wish I had a major body of water nearby to try something like this- it is very inspiring! On top of that you stitched this together from two shots!? Wow! Incredible work- the merging is completely invisible.

The full view is outstanding. Seamless stiching, and great colors and even tonalities for a night shot. Are you trying to make the rest of us look bad?!? ;'P

Great shot, I love the mood and the reflections :) It's true, if the subject keeps still enough, manual exposure combinations are hard to beat.
