This neighborhood is near my flat, and often we sit there with some friends in the evening and relax....
This fine old houses (they are 100 years old) are only a small rest. Once the whole neighborhood looked like these. They all were destroyed in World War II.
In 1905 Lenin lived here for a short while, directly there, where I took this picture. He had to leave Russia after the lost revolution of 1905. In his letters he described the neighborhood, the river Spree and the railroad station near by.

A very serene atmosphere. wonderful, those aristocratic looking houses and the green surroundings. It is really a city atmosphere, but yet very quiet because of the green around. A nice spot indeed to sit and drink a bottle of wine.
