Description
Our Volcano Pu`u O`o lava activity is paused. There is no active lava visible anywhere on the flow field. The crater floor continues to collapse indicating no lava there. There was a swarm of earthquakes occurring away from the Pu'u O'o crater causing a crack in the earth with some lava coming out (June 18/19). It has stopped since then. There is a lot of sulfur dioxide fumes being emitted from those cracks. Looks like no lava hikes unless something else comes up. This flower is the Lehua flower from the Volcano area.
