It's a fantastic macro photography with this plant on the dead wood! It's a professional shot with this marvellous light setting! Could be the front cover for a macro photography book!!!

This is one of your best in awhile. The subject matter is interesting but it's the composition that really makes this a winner -- I just love how you've framed everything, and the way the colors go together. It's not flashy but I think that's a good thing. Great job.

DOF is perfect for the subject. Just enough in focus to show texture and detail. Love the out of focus color-dotty background, really a nice complement to the subject. A superbly done, quiet and reserved (like a fine wine) macro~

Excellent in its clarity, texture and lighting effects. The fungi appears to be attached to a fossilized spine or tail of some sort. Did you try it with the anisotropic diffusion filter? That would give it a really weird effect.
