Description

I wanted to do something in a swamp/marsh. This was rendered in Vue. What'cha think? Anyone have a storyline for me? What about a title change?

Awesome, if the horse looked like it was moving... PERFECT. Great work though, seriously.

Outstanding picture. It's a very nice idea, and well implemented. The style and quality of the render is perfect for the subject matter A few thoughts/suggestions.. The title is perfect, and tells just enough of the story for the viewer to fill in the details themselves. Sometimes less is, indeed, more. :) I agree with DarkSkies - the horse needs to be walking/wading. I think it is already - the position of the head looks like that's the case, but we can't see its legs and there aren't any ripples in the water that would come with movement (small waves at the front, and "wake" ripples behind). Maybe it would help too if the water were a different depth - either just low enough to see a bit of the horse's legs, or just high enough that the soldier's hand is dipping into it a little? Anyway, it's beautiful just the way it is, and it stirs the emotions. When will you have it on display in a museum?

Excellent image. I agree with Spoinlar and Darkskies. Some ripples and such in the water and possibly reposition the horses head, stretched out and lowered a bit (or turning to check the ridder and ripples going out from the oposite side (would be horses right side) but all in all, awesome work!

There's already been allot of advice posted, much of which I agree with; so I'll just say this: What an incredibly natural, organic, subtle pose! :) That alone earns you five stars. Wonderful work.

Hey Eric What can i say Great Work You have a story here, there is a sense of something going on before the picture, and that is exactly what you want to do. Ripples, movement blurs, a croc swimming behind it, the horses head pushed forward, something that the horse is drawn to or away from can give it a story to move forward to. Otherwise one of my favorite pieces from you!
