Last weekend some friends invited me to a "jam" at a mutual friends barn...which we do a couple of times a month...But this time they kept talking of a woman that was gonna be there...Half way there I realised this was a setup...Crap...Not another one... Well, we got there, I grabbed my gear and started inside...When I got in the barn there was the usual crowd of folks...Some play some come to listen...I made my way through to the back side of the barn (where the stages are) and there she was...Already on stage...shoulder-length mussy hair, worn jeans, halter top, playing the *#%& out of a dayglo purple guitar and biting her tongue through the rough spots... Probably the most beautiful woman I've ever seen!! I stepped up and asked if I could sit in and she said, " I know you. I've seen you play the Bluesfest around the south...I'd love you to play with me.." Well, my knees got weak, my mouth got dry and I sat down with her..For the next 6 1/2 hours I saw and heard nothing but her... She's coming to my place Saturday night to have drinks and learn some SRV licks.... WISH ME LUCK !!!!
