Description

Another "pretty bug" I found, digging in my Moss Rose bed; The metallic I thought was unique. My bug book actually has one pictured in it :) according to that, this is a female. They live in old Gravel Pits and sandy soil. That's this area all the way! Not that I live in a gravel Pit LOL but there are a bunch of them around here. Not the greatest picture; but it is what it is. Trying to get away from dragons for a while. :) Have a wonderful weekend... and thanks for stopping by! Shari

They sure live up to their "Busy as a bee" image, don't they. Lots of pollen on her. Great detail in the wings.

Wow !!!! A Green Bee. Thats a first for me. It's cool when you look in the reference book and actually find the bug that you had never seen before (in life or in the book)!. As far as the focus goes, it is what it is. Bees can be very difficult to capture because they either have their faces in the bloom or they are ...... well, Busy as Bees, lol. I would have posted the image also just because the color is so unexpected. Thanks for sharing. Lee
