Description

Blu and Yellow Macaw. I tried to catch an unusual angle view following some reference photos I took recently....Sad to see it behind bars... Modeled with Maya 8.0, rendered with MentalRay. For lighting setup I used an HRDI probe and 2 point lights .No Postwork, only contrast enhancement with Photoshop. Hope you like:)

Its a shame that an incredible piece like this only receives 7 comments while inferior work from the hug club gets 70+ comments.

I dream that one day, my renders will look as good as yours... If it wasn't for the texturing on the seams of the bars I could've sworn this was a photo! Not just from the textures and lighting, but the pose and depth of field and oh... Look, there's photo real and then there's living images! Just give yourself a huge pat on the back from me. Outstanding!

Oh yes I sure like! This looks amazingly realistic. Very nice model and texturing. I don't bother to much about the seams, makes me 'sure' it's a render ;-) So well done, bravo!

yea, why are you uploading a photo in the maya gallery? It's an incredible render, Azure, as are all your renders in your gallery. Very detailed and realistic, excellent lighting and camera view. Poor bird. We used to have a petfood store nearby, the owner had 4 parrots (different types), and they would all do this frantic screaming "let me out! let me out!" I don't remember anything else they were able to say, but I remember that.
