"It's like, at the end, there's this surprise quiz: Am I proud of me? I gave my life to become the person I am right now. Was it worth what I paid?" ~ Richard Bach, writer (1936- )
Even old, abused flowers can retain a beauty that speaks of when they were once pristine. This tiny bunch of blossoms caught my eye for some reason, so being me, I took a picture of them. I like the fact that there are young buds about to open, ready to carry on the legacy of their predecessors. The beauty of a life lived can be even more interesting than the purity of youth. The colors of the flowers are gentle and compelling. The unopened buds are fresh and interesting. The compo is excellent and the pov as well. Very nice.

Even beat up, end of the life, flowers have a beauty all their own. I have often thought about shooting some of the dead buds in my yard such as this. It really is the circle of life. Nice idea and capture! Aloha~

Life goes on, I'm sure these older flowers could teach the new buds a thing or two ! Not your regular bunch of flowers, but very interesting with all those scars and stories they can tell ! ~Cheers~ :o)

Lovely fading colors, I can see what attracted you to them. Scarred indeed!

Another fine macro of flora, no matter their condition. The pointed tips of the petals remind me of catcus flowers. Anyway, a scene played over and over again around this area, made worse by the heat wave we're experiencing over the past week.
