Description

A stones throw away from the The Natural History Museum and Science Museum, the Victoria and Abert Museum (aka V&A) was established in 1852 and exhibits art and design ranging from sculpture to textiles and dress- past to present. I had never been to the V&A until now and I have never bothered to go as I always thought it was inferior to the British Museum and Natural History Museum- Oh how I was wrong (Why I thought this I really don't know, maybe it's because they advertise it as the V&A which I think takes away its prestige). This museum is on par with the others and certainly has its own unique exhibitions which are worthy of a visit! The Cast Courts and the Interior Courtyard are a particular joy to see (expect panos on these for my next post). I'm Kicking myself for not checking this place out sooner- lots of beautiful things to see, you'll spend hours here. i like this very much, it makes me feel i am seeing this building for the first time, though i have seen it many times before. imho, the V&A is the best single museum in London, loads to see but not as overwhelming as the British Museum, great for rainy days and for visitors who don't have much time to spare.

Imposing building, interesting method with the stitching. I am trying a short cut by using a very wide angle and cropping the result.You are getting good verticals across the whole pic.
