Description

Shot taken yesterday when the torrential rain abated for a little while. I am always searching for different backgrounds for my flower shots. I really like this one :-) I will again be away from home this coming Wednesday and Thursday. I will not be able to be online very much. Take good care of yourselves until I am home again. Thank you for looking. Happy eventime and hugs. Diane.

Very interesting composition Di. Not many people would have thought of blending a lobster-pot with a sunflower. A perfect meeting of water and fire.

I thank you all for comments @jocko500. The net is from a lobsterpot, the net is hand "knitted" this is the term that the fishermen use, all pot are hand made from start to finish by the fiserlads. This lobsterpot in my picture is a pot belonging to Uncle Bill, he lives two doors away from me. The making of lobsterpot is skilled work. I love the design of the pots and the knots in the mesh/net work. Diane.

Although the connection between the two items is lost in translation somewhere, it still seems to work nicely. :-) In fact, they complement each other very well. The sunny color in the flower is ripe against the rope and hoop. Nice job.

well I think the orange netting lends its self to the yellows and browns of the sunflower. And I much prefer sunflowers to lobster but that's just me lol. Have a safe trip. Take care..Chocolate hugs:0)bonita ps congrats on LWitG.

The netting makes a good backdrop..however I would prefer it with out the rim at the top..but that's just my preference

Wonderfully done, Diane! ;) I sit and wait for the sun to come For the fog to clear For I wish to leave this deep dark rest I sit and wait for the sun to come For the light to come back to my heart For I wish to leave this barren cell I sit and wait for the sun to come For the rain to stop For the thoughts to depart I sit and wait for the sun to come For the tears to stop For the pain to cease... by Isabella Epona

I thought to myself, "What on earth is she doing?" Lobster pot / sunflower. The connection escapes me. Then I looked at the image, and was totally blown away. Of COURSE they need to be in the same photo! This is a fabulous combination! The composition is brilliant. You have such a wonderful, creative mind, my friend. I notice Patricia Ann made it to LWITG! My Patricia Ann loved yours, btw. Thanks!
