Description


This is a statue in the Mactan Shrine on Mactan Island, in the Philippines. The site of this statue is where Lapu-Lapu killed Magellan for wanting to colonize and Christianize the Philippines. There are numerous statues like this one at the shrine.

Lapu-Lapu wasn't all wrong on this point...LOL. Too bad these historic treasures are not better maintained. Nice shot though.
