Reminds me of the story my brother, Dan, related a few years ago. They were living in Washington state and came out one morning to find some beautiful fungus growing in the back of their vehicle! Fungus can actually be very beautiful..like the your composition. Really cool image, Jenny. :) Guess "opportunists" can sometimes be synonymous with parasites.
