Description
Captured a couple of years ago, in the very early morning, on the front yard of a house about two miles from my residence.
Again, Babuci, with her passion for all kinds of animal, vegetable and mineral textures, should really appreciate this one.
This is the kin of Rock of Ages #1, which I posted two days ago, is approximately 30-inches across, and is the product of millions of years of geologic statification. At this juncture, I'll try not to get sedimental over this (pun intended). The strata at the bottom side is most lovely in its subtle effect, but the top part of the rock, though most colorful, is blotchy and appears as someone had bled all over it and didn't clean up the mess.
Have yourself a stellar day!

A wonderful shot of this rock. I would have liked it with a shorter shadow but I don't suppose you had enough time to wait around for the sun to move and make that happen. :-) I love the little green touches near the bottom. Just subtle enough to give it character. (I think "stellar" is a word that is most associated with another member of RR...Hummmmm, let me think... who would that be........?)

Neat rock...really a lot to look at in it. Have a rockin' 4th!

Cool stuff Harry. I love the colors on this one even if it (with your help)reminds me of the faded blood stain. Wonderful texture all over, makes me wonder how is it looks like inside.

I like this one even better than the first! Such beautiful colors and designs. And your malapropism was quite cleverly done! I've been trying various 'igneous' ways to get "metamorphic" into my comment, but will have to settle for just the one.
