Description
Nikon 7900 image.
It is not a Dragonfly but it is related, lol. It has also turned out to be a very difficult subject for me to capture. I only have a few images of this critter and untill this capture, they were not very good.
This species spends almost all of it's time along a very shady little creek on my property and the light there or lack thereof, has proven to be a real problem I could not seem to overcome.
It hasn't helped that these critters also seem to be very wary. It is a result of dogged persistance that I finally managed to get 2 postable shots. One of a male and one of a female (which I will post tomorrow).
Neither of these captures does justice to the real thing but they at least give a hint of the vibrant colors that are displayed when the sun hits them.

Oh, yes... this turned out really good Lee. I'll be seeing a lot of these beautiful damselflys next week; while on vacation. I know how gorgeous they are!
