this image works very well; love the ambience especially. one small critique is that with her upper body being so muscular her legs should be a little bigger. great job!

Nice scene. The only thing that bothers me is that the light source on her doesn't match the light in the background. The sun is behind but the light comes from the front. Maybe if you turned off the cast shadows on the foreground lights.

Gorgeous work! I have to agree with bebe though, the light sources don't quite match.. but nevertheless I love this image.

All the positive comments from above go for me too and I don't mind the 'mis-matched' light source, I think it works great in this image. Two small items though... 1. Pull the camera back just a little so her entire figure (the right foot) is in the picture... 2. The tassle on the spear should hang down IMHO (I know, that's nitpicking)

I have to agree with guslaw totally. I'm oft amazed if not miffed by some of the comments I read in these public galleries that are passed off as 'helpful comments' - when in reality - most are merely 'personal opinions'. Art is all about visual impact, conveying a sense of awe and wonderment, and this holds all the more true with Sci-Fi/Fantasy art. In such a genre, ordinary laws and technicalities have nothing whatever to do with the imagery offered. If such be the case, then best we all start telling others that fairies don't exist, that there are no warrior women welding huge heavy swords, or dragons aren't real, don't fly, and breath fire. Laws and restrictions on lighting belong in renders depicting real life settings, and not in Fantasy and Sci-Fi. Who's to say what is or is not possible in such art. If we all followed the supposed critiques of those who think only inside the small box they call imagination, then we would all render the same, and there would be no need to post our work for others to enjoy. This render is spectacular Scott, and please, take lightly those who express such close-minded, personal opinions. Your work is magnificent and a true tribute to real Fantasy.

This is beautiful...the softness of her curves yet the stength of her form...excellent. The background is fabulous. This would make an excellent book cover.
