Description
Taken just at dusk, in late May, down on the Edmonds, Washington waterfront. I fussed with the levels a bit, but ended up liking the slightly darker and richer colors best. I guess it just depends on my mood!
Oh! I almost forgot! For those of you who are flower challenged, these are poppies.

Hah, me flower challenged? Are you kidding? I knew these were poppies all along! Hahaheehee! The subtle light and shadow, golden color and textural effects of the petals and pistils are splendid! BTW, there's nothing wrong with going to the extreme with postwork just to see how it looks; you can always back off -- just a bit, that is...I do it all the time.

When I think of poppies I always think red. These are an incredibly beautiful orange.
