Description
Fractal Explorer. Two FE images superimposed with varying degree of mutual transparency.
The first version of this was a square with the left half of this image in the middle. I named it "Out of Control" and sent it to the FEUsers list. One person said "I like the central part best and feel it could be very calming if someone looked at it long enough." I took her advice and looked at it long enough in full view. I cut the noise left and right. When I though it was finished, I decided to flip it vertically and stared. There were completely different figures looking at me, no less interesting. Seen from afar, the flipped (right) version looks feminine and the original (left) even more macho and beastly than before. It is uncovering little people and animals that I find calming. So there.

Intriguing images. Still trying to figure out which one I like best. I see different faces in both of them.

Nice images. After you described the flipping, now I wonder what you would get making one 50% transparent and putting it on top of the other?

And with inversion...balance...both masculine and feminine..and here you have achieved just that. Fascinating comp...and again, FE takes us into that organic realm. :)
