This is a wasp of some sort; can't find the exact kind in my little bug book, but I'm betting one of you guys will know. :) The lighting is strange, but was taken late in the day. Well, TGIF! Hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by. Shari

I think it is a Cicada Killer. they tend not to sting but they sting their prey to paralyze and they put in a burrow for their young to eat after emerging from their cocoon. excellent capture
