Description
First in a short series of renders.
This is the result of an idea thats been kicking about in the ol' grey for a while!
Model paint tins, cardboard box, and desk lamp (the bit you can see of it) modelled in C4D. Everything else is made in Bryce. I am particulariliy fond of the scalpel which was created as a greyscale image in PS and made into a symmetrical lattice in Bryce!
Final render in Bryce 4 using an ambient light dome for simulated radiosity and soft shadows.

Wow, I'm deeply impressed, very photorealistic.

Excellent!! It really looks like the beginning of a model kit. Only one thing...where is the newspaper.....incase u make a mess with the paint and cement etc ;]
kromekat
lol! - yeah, I know, I should have used newspaper... I promise I will when i start painting it!... There are 2 mistakes I have noticed - anybody else see them?
fozzibear

What a great idea! And Bryce is the perfect program to do it in - Great idea - beautifully executed!
Curio
A great concept! - I love the pots of texture - and the spoof "Airfix" logos! - I spotted the mistake - you forgot to credit my brick texture! Joking! Joking! ;) - No seriously - can't spot any errors - can't belive that scapel is a latice! Amazing!
Lightpen
krome you ol kat! This is great. I recognise the scapel, its #15 we used them all the time in surgery. I think I see one mistake, the lid is upside down and green paint on the outside instead of the inside. Right?? Also, # 2 hummm The light on the stump is TOO bright with no texture showing. Right? Lightpen

Killer image....great idea =-) excellent modeling =-) awesome job here!
kromekat
Ok, ok - the mistakes are these (1 of which I will correct and update shortly!) #1 is that the label on the far right pot doesnt match the lid, #2 is that the two halfs of the tree in the top left spru, wouldnt actually fit together since they are not opposites, just a rotation! - doh! - not even close so no cigars! ;)
kromekat
...texture label now replaced!
Taura Noxx

japa
Really original: I like the left pot detail, the multi-leaf colour oil
Little Red
Very creative and massively cool!
mabfairyqueen
Aha! So that's how you make those great pictures. I knew it all along that it couldn't be 3D. Just kidding. Very fun and clever picture idea. I always love whimsical pictures best.
electric
ohh wow , that is a wonderful idea, excellent detailed job
Digimon
HAH!!! You spoofed the old Airfix logo!! I used to be a devotee of that brand! 1/72 scale, but mostly 1/32 scale WWII models! I believe those of us that did models as kids, were suited for 3D modeling! What a wonderful image! I love how perfectly you got the grey plastic down!!! I did a similar spoof of Adobe's software pkg, for a self promo. But this is fantastic! An instant fav!!
