Description

I had been out for the day in Scarborough and had just walked back up the steps going back to the car. I looked back and saw this view. It was to dark to hand hold the camera so I rested it on top of my camera bag which was sat on top of a wall. The shutter speed was about 20 seconds. Hope you like. Looks better as full image. Thanks Shaun

Never been in Scarborough when the sun goes down, I think I will have to remedy that sometime soon. Smashing picture, wonder did you use a star filter for the lights? Could tell it was a long exposure looking at the car lights full length of the prom. Very very good especially since no tripod used. Love it.

I loved Scarborough as a kid, and every year I say I will revisit but somehow never make it I must make an effort this year. The thing I love about this image is the colour of the artificial light against the failing daylight just fantastic, it would have been nice to know if you were using film or digital, I have been using digital for about 3 years now after 20+ years of film and colour balance is one of those areas that can be a real challenge

Thanks for the comments daz5008. I was using a digital slr. The Canon EOS 350D. Had it about 2 years now and it has been a fantastic camera.
