greetings...:). sharing my recent work, that has been done for a friend, on a request, anything related to flamenco, my first choice was to paint a flamenco guitar player..:), but as ive already painted that, i went for a dancer. a rather different palette used, for a particular flavour that was needed to get. done in a very painterly way, according to my friend's taste, i hope u all like it too...:).
i did go thru few refs before painting this. the composition, setting and mood has all been self-visualized. painted in painter and photoshop, using tablet.

Wonderful! I love flamenco and I think you have captured it very well. I can see the action of swishing the skirt passionately to the music and clapping. Wonderful colors. If I were requesting this, i would have gone for a dark or blackish background and smoky spotlighting, but that is just my taste and highlighting the sultry mood. Excellent work, Waheed.
