Description
Since I've been busy with lots of other stuff lately (and not much of it having to do with what I ought to be doing to get stuff to the MP. *sighs & laughs*) I thought I'd render both of these beauties at the same time.
Thank you Ute for Cameron and Janet for Whisper. They're both so beautiful and I hope I have more time to play with them more. And thank you to PhilW for posting his multi-pass render mini-tutorial earlier today. I was having a terrible time getting any sort of lighting that came close to matching this BG and then remembered what he'd posted, so I composited a few of my attempts that I'd kept, played around with the transparencies of the layers and voila! Not sure it's perfect...well ok, I'm sure it's not, but it's darned closer than anything I was getting with any given light set anyway.
BG is from the new Hawaii set that will be in the MP later this month...just need to composite them together for the Promo renders. Have a third set as well that will follow sooner or later depending on how busy I get. Still have that pose set in development, but haven't had lots of time for that, so it's partially on the back burner for now.
Anyway, thanks for the comments on the rainbow. :D Had fun with that and want to do some others like it here sooner or later. We'll see if I can squeeze them in and still make progress on other things.

Cool compositing, a perfect background for this render. Did you try using the image itself as a light? Just a thought, sometimes it works out well with some tweaking.

Hey, John, love the background and so glad that you found my mini-tutorial to be of some use! Of course, it is you that needs to apply this and you have done a great job here. The one think I think is missing here are the shadows from the figures against the wall and floor. You could airbrush these in manually or try using a "shadow catcher" - yet another thing I've been meaning to try for myself! Anyway, great work!
