Description

Woo Hoo... Yep, the title says it all! I found a dragonfly yesterday! And it let me take a picture of it! Oh, and it's next to a dead fly... Yeah ok, I know there are some awesome dragonfly shots on here, but I've tried and tried and never been able to get one. And I know the focus isn't spot on, but hey, I was excited! Lol, you may have noticed... Thank you so much for comments, ratings and especially CC's yesterday. I appreciated them all. And will take them on board. Feel free to do the same today... Tracey

this is a Damselfly and an exceptional capture.it may have killed the fly as they eat bugs like crazy especially mosquitoes

Woo Hoo! indeed! I am soooo happy for you, a double whammy, a bogof at the local store. What a great shot Tr4cey, how did you get it to land on that great piece of wood. Its a beautiful picture the lovely Blue Damselfly and the texture of the wood is great. Well done you! ++

Woohoo! I fully understand the excitement. I felt exactly the same way when I first managed to get a Dragonfly shot and my image was nowhere as good as this one is. As has been mentioned, this is actually a Damselfly but in many ways they are even harder to capture because they are soooooooo much smaller, lol. They are related to Dragonflys. Thanks for sharing and wishing you good luck with getting a 2nd, and 3rd, and 100th capture. Once you get the first one, the task no longer seems hopeless and simply knowing that will boost your success rate noticably. I am sure we will get to Woohoo again. Lee
