Description

Experimenting VUE. More Dystopia stuff (my gratitude to the "team-dystopia"). Big cities dying. Once earlier, I found myself alone, late in the evening, at the very East End of London. Buildings were all around, old and new, intact, but nowhere a bit of life. For a moment I deeply felt the way big cities dying. I am not a Londoner, but somehow managed to find my way out of that dark and desperate hour. It was in 1997 and the memory of that is so vivid yet. Thanks for visit and comments!

this is the 2nd time I have ever commented on an image, cities are an image of mankind, humanities need for each other is the reason we build these "dying cities," but look around yourself cities are the highest concentration of human beings, they are full of life. but the art is really good!

I agree with everything you’ve already mentioned blacklocust! My idea about the death of the big cities were result of a personal experience gained during my 6-month stay in London 1997. The part of the city called "City", sometimes in the past the very center of London now became the business centre. During the day hours there is a lot of people, but in the evening hours and during nights there is nobody there. No sounds, no residents, no movements, not a bit of life at all. It looks like the heart of the city is dead. Have you ever been there alone, in the middle of the night, walking along the streets? You just loose the feeling of being on the Earth. Deserted, abandoned place ... horrifying ... but not because something bad can happens to you, just the opposite, the emptiness in you and around you becomes the main enemy. The city (or one its part), converting slowly but for sure, to business place, has gone ... has died. I agree, it is an image of mankind, but what kind of mankind brings us future?
