Description

This was taken July 4th while taking a little hike in the forest. This is the high light of the hike which pretty amounts to nothing much in there. It looks like a mutated banana. What do you see? Aloha and thank you viewing. "Volcano Update" "Pu'u O'o Web Cam"

The heavy hands of father nature? A hiker that was swallowed up by natures rath upon trying to climb the forbidden tree? LOL An awesome capture, and yes banana like and hand like! [=

No mutant banana here. I hope you left the scene fast, because that is definitely a pod from "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." If you were to fall asleep next to the thing, it would send out several tendrils, which would then crawl through every bodily orifice, sucking the life force from you, creating a replicate of you inside the pod. The natural body just shrinks up after that. You evidently escaped just in time. In any event, wonderful POV, DOF, colors, clarity and textures in this capture, Shark.

It's definitely a fossilized dragon's foot..............did you check for St. George while you were there? It's also a great pic!

In Russia the outgrowth on trees is a valuable material at manufacturers of furniture and a decorative sculpture. Wonderfully!!!

I see a hand, but I guess that's why a bunch of bananas is known as a hand. Well seen and shot, Eroll.

Yes - petrified bananas, or maybe the tree is trying to grow a hand, like one of the tree creatures from the Lord of The Rings?! Excellent share my friend!

Looks like the plant swallowed a Victorian piano and one of the claws on its leg is trying to get back out but then last night I dreamed of a spaceship made out of organic fibres coming to Earth because their planet had run out of tomatoes, so don't listen to me.
