Description

For a few years, for myself and many others, Haight Ashbury was the best known corner and the center of the world. Now it's just another tourist attraction with a Ben and Jerry's and a Gap. This image is a collage of bits and pieces of time, San Francisco and the Haight. If one can do impressionism is 3D, this is an impressionist image of Haight Ashbury. All in the details. I had planned this scene to surround a custom van I made, but as I was making the scene it took over. It didn't need the van. It needed to come to life. It told me what it wanted, It had a story to tell. Only certain people, certain murals, certain details, down to the parrot you can barely see, would tell that story. It has life, and spirit, and I love this picture more than any other I've ever done.

This is really great work! The details are incredibly rich and inviting and there is so much to see here that multiple viewings won't show EVERYTHING but will definitely offer cool rewards. Great work!
