I also don't know much about portrait photography other than just what strikes me emotionally so, please, any and all critiques and suggestions will be more than appreciated!

This is really, really lovely. Great skin tones and super pose. The hand being cropped slightly distracts though. Still a fab shot!

The Photograph is beautiful as is the model, the only critique I agree with hairy face the inclusion of the hand might have been better. Portraiture I think depends on the subject and what you want to achieve, this I think works well. It is a very atmospheric shot, moody but gentle with it, I think the skin tones are superb, the pose I think is quite natrual for a young girl in lost in her thoughts. All in all a great capture, works well. I like the frame. +++

Such a soft, splendid capture...and the lighting absolutely exquisite. You hit that dead on. If I were going to critique anything...I suppose I might agree about the hand cropping. But, an all 'round lovely image, period :)
