Description
This photo was taken from the Souther tip of the Northern Island in New Zealand. The snow capped moutain you see are 130Km to the south across the cook straight which is the northern tip of the South Island.
It is rare to see the mountains from this far, but today was one of these days.
I hope you enjoy.

Wow! That is just freakin' phenomenal! Amazing to be able to see that far, for one thing, and for another, it's simply a gorgeous view. And it looks like you've caught a whale or something leaping out of the water. Full view is stunning. Excellent shot!

Gorgeous! Wonderful view and I love the inclusion of the crashing wave at the bottom of the shot!!

Lovley, but I have to disagree with Firesnuffer. As nice as the little wave is, i think this would have worked compositionally a bit better had you cropped a little below the gull and made it more of a panorama.

I'm not so sure. There was more of the wave originaly but I wanted to show the perspective of the great distance envolved. which the wave gave me the marker. Otherwise I think the distance would be lost which may destroy the photo. For a closer shot would of rendered a much clearer landscape. Thanks for all your feedback and suggestions.
