Description
I shot this with my film camera. I hope the colors is right. I had to get a purple haze off the image. The same woth the other bird I uploaded. The brids may be off color a little but not much.
I had my film camera and the 200mm lens on. I was close to the bird and I tried to walk a little closer but the bird started to walk away from me. So I shoot the bird before he walked in the shadows. I thought I leave him his his nature
still wonder what cause the purple hazes on the film.

oh as for the name of this bird I do not know. He have a line by his eyes so he may be a bandit lol

Hey, I know what that is! It's the bluebird of happiness! Those birds are easily spooked, Jock. You have to quietly crawl up to them on your stomach to take a photo. And, I don't know, maybe it's me, but I don't see any strong purplish effects in this shot. Possibly a slight hint of it on the bird and water.

Luck you didn't totally scare him away, happens to me all the time...DRAT ! The blue might be a chemical reaction on the flim emulsion and the humid swamp atmosphere ? Great blue bird capture though, well done Jock ! ~Cheers~ :o)

It's "riders of the purple sage" not purple haze, Jock. I like this effect. It's natural I know. But you got to see it. Must be some end of the uv tunnel phenomena.
