Description

As a long time Poser user, I got bored and am trying to get back to my roots: Photography. Got a lot to relearn! :( This is the first digital photo posted anywhere (all other attempts in learning met extinction in the on-camera trash bin!). Shot with a Nikon D80 and reworked in PhotoShop on a Mac. Hope you like.

Nice work - I like the concept and it is well executed. I think in a perfect world the eyes could do with just a little more refinement but overal top marks :)

Thanks all. To address some of the comments: Not much mirroring done. At least not in facial entirety. It was done in parts and sections not the whole face halved and mirrored. Lighting was a dumb kitchen chandelier lamp. Was awful for what it did to the orignial shot. All the clean-up and tonal/color balancing was done in Post Production using PhotoShop. Still haven't learned to balance on-camera flash with daylight/ambient light. But I am learning!

I started with Poser 4 Pro, and managed to learn it, if not crude. I did enjoy it very much. I take lots of pictures. going on a cruise soon and then to the Philippines(four or 5 times ). I have many relatives there that I look forward seeing again.
