Description

Emilianito was given a few weeks to live but he is doing much better now, Cancer when detected at an earlier age is much easier to treat. That day he was going home for the first time in his life.

I would say this is a big day for momma and poppa! Bigger than for little Emilianito. I can't imagine waiting that long to take my baby home especially under those conditions. This is a great shot. You got the pride and contentment in the father's eyes. The innocent face of the child. Good one.

This is all full of life, this shot. The thing about family photos is that they capture a moment in time and a feeling so personally that looking at them years later is like time travel, but usually they're not very interesting to look at from an artistic point of view. When someone as talented as you snaps a shot like this, it preserves the moment in a way that makes me think it's got just as much place hanging in a gallery as it does tucked into dad's wallet. I'm so glad the little dude's doing allright and I hope things continue to improve.
