Description

FE & PS Ever have one of those days where the mood you awaken with, your inside, for some inexplicable reason, is totally incongruent with the goings-on of the world outside? Well, this is my today. It's a crystal clear, cloudless, perfect day...and I woke struggling a little...with some vague feelings of...well...something bordering on a smidgeon of intolerance. Now, you'd have to know me better, to know that intolerance is NOT where I live at all...so very much the contrary that it often spawns trouble. But, here is where I am...my spirit today...blooming a little in a slightly darker place. I'll let it. There's always balance in allowing to come...and fully accepting...those things which we cannot always fully understand. Thanks to each of you ..for your wonderful comments on my images. This is an amazing image of texture and subtle color, much like the mood you describe. Sometimes my contrast of mood to my surroundings leads to a wonderful exploration. This is outstanding work, and suits my mood (sans coffee ;) perfectly.

Splendid interpretation for your moody day, don't worry I suppose all of us have this kind of days. I just sit down and do one of my pictures with a cup of coffee (like an escape) others go to the hairdresser's or window shopping... LOL. I really love it's texture work, you are great ;O)

A powerful abstract work, Nancy. I've experienced feelings that were "darker" and more muted than the fresh bright light of day. Your artistic expression/impression is really superb- dynamic and emotive. Very effective [and beautiful] colors and texture work.

We all have that darker side. Some of us are more light then dark, but still, that dark side needs expression too, balance, as you so well put it. This fractal painting expresses that darker undercurrent so well, so beautifully.

Oh definitely, I've had my share of those days. Thanks for not being afraid to express that side of you. The piece is certainly a reflection of that, yet it's still lovely and muted. LOVE the textures you've been using on your fractals, they just stand out so well!!
