@Garlor: Yes it did. The Russians captured it at the end of the war and flew it, too. Another great picture, Geoff.

I was aware of the forward-swept wing concept after the war, when I was interested in making wooden models from plans. I actually made one such but based on my own design, so the idea obviously impressed. the placement of the two forward engines is intriguing. I suppose this had to do with the unusual aerodynamics, but why those cumbersome wheels? They could hardly have been retractable and could have been a drag on performance. The Germans were certainly into the jet age - and more for they had a rocket fighter too.
