Description

CENSORED As some of you know, the Moderators here at Renderosity removed ‘Zenobia and her Zebra Twins’, because of a member’s complaint. I decided to delete ‘Shot & Echo’ after the event, because I was informed a second offense would go on my ‘member’s’ record. For some reason I can’t fathom why one member of our community found what I considered to be nothing more than “DELIGHTFUL INNOCENTS” immoral and caused the piece to be censored. I can’t imagine what that person saw or thought they saw. Child Pornography is not part of my visual vocabulary. It will be a sad day for all of us who lend our talents to RENDEROSITY if COMPETITION and PERSONAL AMBITION makes some of us MONSTERS! I want to personally thank all of you that viewed, commented and rated Zenobia & her Zebra Twins, as well as ECHO & SHOT. I am sorry it got removed. I had one removed once and it was my favourite ever picture when I knew no better. I guess what we think is right is not to some people I am sorry :) Cathy xoxoxo

I like the quiet yet powerful statement that this makes. Im not one for playing the gotchya/gossip-rumor/power game...and I dont respect anyone who wallows in that, so to me unless your image is child AND sexually explicit for the sexual sake...it should not be censored. I too have experienced the moderator woes due to a viewer on the violence side because my Model was holding a realistic heart...and so it went against my record. Frankly I dont give a damn about a membership record...there are just TOO MANY art communities out there to bother with superficial people and their individual hangups. It is very unnerving to think that one person could cause an image to be removed. What if it is someone who's just jealous?? Sad, very sad -- and scary too! I see alot of nudity here, and i've created a nude piece or 2 myself. It has never occured to me that a few narrow minded people would view nude art as pornography or that Rendo would give in to them. (Granted i've seen a few borderline risque' pieces, but yours was nowhere near that.) I do love this piece you've created in protest by the way. It's a brilliant image!

I don't want to change the world- and I don't want the world to change me(''OZZY OSBOURNE'') Art in any form is a very difficult talent to use since it is always followed by ridicule. I've been through this myself numerous times now with this issue in this place. It gets old. I have a "record" created by some "person" who saw Black and White samildanich character second skins as nudity. And I got a black mark for speakin up about it too!! That's why I post most of my art on DA and post only a few things here and there on this place. I'm sorry this has happened to you!

I love the effect that you created here. Lots of emotion in this image instilled in from what you just went through. Your image conveys this perfectly. In the USA, when 'the powers that be' finally take action on something, they go overboard....from doing nothing to censoring anything that hints at what they are censoring. Prime example: A 'Zero Tolerance' law went into effect at schools for drugs and weapons and sexual harrasment. This has led to suspensions ridiculous in nature....a 5 year old suspended for kissing another 5 year on the cheek, a boyscout suspended for having his scout knife in his backpack in his locker when he forgot to take it out after the scout meeting. A suburban mother was arrested for having bubbly bath time pictures of her two boy developed at a local store. Totally unbelievable but true. If the old masters were alive, we'd have to round them up and have them hung for making paintings with naked cherubs? Some people find satisfaction in monitoring the images of others. Those people will never go away because they are driven by their self-righteousness and they feel better when they do it. It's all about them...they are just too narrowminded.

I'm sad to see and read your message. I didn't see this two pics and am not able to give a comment about this, but I can't understand why the opinion of one member is more worth as the opinion of all persons that say there's nothin' of violence or porography in this images. This rules open all doors for ignorant or jealous people, those who are not able to make good images. Post the pics on your own side. There are a lot of possibilities for free space and if you need help by creating a side, send a mail, I would like to help and I think a lot of other persons here too.
