Upload: 022 H Title: When trash becomes accidental art Series: Recycling, paint buckets Location: Marin Recycling Center, San Rafael, California Date: July 12, 2007 Image: N06117M1cs Camera: Nikon D70, Full Frame Commentary: I needed to take some time off and reflect upon my creativity and where it was heading and though I seem to continue focusing on objects, I feel increasingly the need to move into another direction, one which involves a human focus. The last two weeks have seen an increase in photography with a number of fieldtrips, including the return to painting in oils. For now I share with you a recent outing to a recycling center, photographing the bales of aluminum soda and beer cans, along with tin for our canned food items and recycled paint buckets.. Please recycle, it works!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and commenting. Vielen danke das sie die Zeit genommen haben meine Arbeit zu betrachten und darauf zu Kommentieren. Egmont

........ very nice cross section of trash ( I mean art ! ) ....excellent photo & well presented - not so easy to bring this off as well as you have --some people could photograph garbage until the cows come home and not have any 'art' to show for it.

An excellent abstract Egmont with strong symbolism relating to our 'throw away' society. I look forward to more.

Remind me, by a personal association, Meister Eckhart mystic, J. Boehme, and others, when they explain that god is also in the hell, in all the places. Excells, excells!! Good inspiration, then, for your new ideas coming.

A very symbolic photograph providing a useful lesson to all. Artwork indeed Egmont and as always, you manage to capture beauty in everyday items that others would just walk past. I hope you find the inspiration for a new direction if that is what you need right now - I believe you will create masterpieces in whatever genre of photography you chose. Hugs. xx

I love accidents. I used to be a potter and in ceramics accidents are always happening. You get to accept that your work half belongs to the kiln godssmile I always try to have random processes at work in my art.

Good Evening, Dear Egmont. A wonderful artwork. You make us stop and think again. I think only you could make art from trash :-) I recycle. We have to be kind to this planet. It is never too late. Those who are born after we are gone depend upon our actions now.. Have a wonderful evening. I am so cheered to see you posting again. Hugs, my friend. Diane.

A poignant message and plea for recycling, Egmont. It just can't be said enough. These images of yours always remind me of a line from, "Let Go" by Frou Frou... "There's beauty in the breakdown." Great song, btw, if you don't know it... That said, I think you will probably agree with me, that this isn't your strongest piece in this series. Although expertly captured, it's missing some of the wonderful graphic impact some of the other images had. I'm interested to see what you explore next. A 'human focus', from you, sounds most intriguing. And I know, as always, it will be well worth the viewing. Have a wonderful weekend...-M : ^)

Another image I could gaze upon many times and see something different in it each time. Harmonious interplay of shapes and textures become both a crowd of faces, and alternately a hilly countryside vista.
