Nice POV of a flower I'm unfamiliar with. The petals look like huge fan blades. Also, the new Renderosity format is raising havoc with the black frames everyone loves to use to envelop their photos.

This is a pansy. A Hybrid version called Viola x wittrockiana (x because it is hybrid) of the violaceae family. From the look of the colour I think it is the "Primrose Dame" variety. The plants to each side are Petunias of the solanaceae family. Although there are around 40 species of petunia, making identifacation difficult, I think these are "Resisto Rose" variety. Beautiful capture Richard!
