I'm just a girl with a Nikon D90, who loves taking pictures of just about anything and everything. Postworking my images is 'my thing' .. The main programs I use are: Photoshop CS 5, Corel painter 12. I am currently laid off and seeking employment. I have been in the technical support field for the last 12 years and have really enjoyed the work. Not sure what I want to do now. I think it depends on what is out there and what is available. Competition is tough, there are so many out of work these days.
Anyway! I have been a member at Renderosity since 2004.ÂÂ
If you've read this far, I want to thank you for your interest. :) ShariLyn

Wow! A metalic bug, is it radioactive? I'm with SecondChoice on this, some sort of Locust, never seen one that bright before. What a fantastic capture! Bravo!!

Excellent macro. The blur in the foreground gives this a nice touch of depth.
lilbiscuit
Beautiful shot!! Not sure what type of bug that is either but you got a really good shot of him.

See? This is what I posted today too and it was just about the same size as this! It must be that time of year... Don't you just love the colors on these guys? Good shot and the orange lily is a great stage for him to appear on. :-)

I've seen these before and heard the name but of course I can't think of it. sigh It is a fantastic close up of it though. Nice contrast of colors and the little bugger is so clear. :)

An excellent macro!

Love the image. There must be a population of these bugs worldwide because I have one in my ready to post list also, lol. I am not positive but my best guess/research is that it is an immature katydid. Thanks for sharing. Lee

Great! looks like the one I posted the other day - and I got no Iota further than you. Though I'm pretty sure that it's not a katydid. Locust cut's it closer - but my guess is the same as on mine - a baby hopper of some kind. Good one!

Your Lily is getting a work out..great shot Shari.

I think it's a "Lilybug" ...hehehe I found some bugs on my Lilys too but mine weren't near as pretty as this little guy! I love what you did with the flower... and it really brings the focus in perfectly on the lilybug. :-) Excellent as always!!!
busi2ness
It's a pleasant color combination and very well composed on the ideal stage to appear on. ;) Good luck at work!
