Description

Katinya, outcast from her tribe has been living on her own for so many triple moons she can not say how long it has been. One double moon ago, a bird fell from the sky and she rescued a boy who calls himself David from the flames of the phoenix. His eyes were burned by the brilliance of the phoenix but her knowledge of herbs has helped to his site to be almost regained. She made a decision to bring David to her tribe even though she may find stoning if she returns. Halfway through the journey they encounter a slatmerta. It stands its ground and roars with foul breath inches from her face. It roars it's menacing fury again. Katinya slowly...slowly reaches for her knife. It is their only feeble chance at survival. ******* Shadownet let me play with his newest (beta) outfit for Miki and V4 and insisted I did not have to make a picture but I had such fun I just could not help myself. Everytime I start a pic a story comes to mind and I have to illustrate it. I need help though. I use DazStudio and the shaders that come with the outfit are for Poser6/7. I don't know how to use shaders in DazStudio. I wanted to try and see if the shaders would work there...they make the outfit look furry and fuzzy. If anyone knows how to load the shaders in D/S and how to open the shader toolbox, could you pm me? Would appreciate it :) **** Credits: I had to use Xero's free plugin to add a bit of fluff to the texture. Rhianon's tatoos, Stonemason's gargoyle head (didn't have to tell you, did I? :)), PC old west knife & sheath, PG woodland bow and arrow, cypunk blindfold and Shadownet's Edge of Never outfit for V4. Whew! That's a bunch of stuff, lol. Ooops! I forgot whose face morph I used for V4 :(

The image is, as always, superb! But the story Really brings it to life! Have you considered illustrating a story about one of your many characters? This is Great!

When being chased by a monster, you don't need to outrun it, you just need to outrun the guy with the blindfold... Seriously though, great stuff! I'm afraid I can't help you out with DS mat settings.

Neat story-line and scene, but is it a Daz or Bryce render ? I'm saying DAZ as there is no kool landscape...right ? Anyhow, a very special treat & ~Cheers~ :o)

Jeff, details, details, lol :) It is a Bryce render. There is an entire landscape behind the characters that you can't see. I created an image with this character and a dinosaur but I didn't care for it. I may post it just to show peeps then delete it after a few days. That would be kind of cool as I'm sure others do that too?

Great scene; wonderfully composed and executed. The threatening figure on the right is certainly nightmarish. Nice use of light as well. Fine work, as always!

Terrific render and lighting Nancy!Wow!Impressive carachters and pose!!!Congratulations!....If about shaders you intend to say textures(i have always doubts about my english knowledge, sorry!),click on View/Tabs/Surfaces,and the corresponding windows opens on the right near Parameters. Here you have Basic or Advanced,in Advanced you have many parameters and with a double click on every parameter you can open other windows where you can upload your personal materials.I hope to have understood right, but in any case the textures work is not the best function in D/S,it's not so easy to use.Ciao!!!

Very nice. Poser shaders do not work in DAZ Studio and DAZ Studio shaders do not work in Poser :(

Aren't there any Daz Studio tutorials at Daz3D for texture mapping? What other 3d apps do you have? I'm so much better with 3ds Max, Vue, Poser, Bryce, Silo, Mudbox, Carrara, Truespace .... I got Daz but never messed with it much. Judging by the image you've made here, I'm impressed with how you've made it work so far.
