Description

I think this is probably the classic form people tend to think of when they think of an iris. Florists use these extensively, so it's what we see most often. It's certainly one of my favorites! This one was growing in a neighbor's yard a couple of months ago.

Wonderful POV, and gorgeous light/shadow, textures and purplish colors, Tara! A treasure to behold! Except for the color, this iris is similar to the ones I posted a few days ago. But -- and here goes Mr Gadfly again -- it would have been a capital idea to clone out that annoying stalk-like leaf that runs diagonally from the the bottom of the photo up to the upper right corner. I would have done it a nanosecond. BTW, the new black background format of Renderosity really plays havoc with black frames.
