Hello to all of you.

I just pop in to show you this.. not any good photo s... but it's a bit fun to be a part of this story:))
An elk cow is not so easy capture....target..... in the wild life... and NOT with her calf..And this time I did catch 2 of them:))) happy meeeeeee...hehehe...
A bit about elk facts give birth about. ………counts around 20.000 birth in the year. Lots are twin births,
To abide by the balance, open up facts for detachable at around 40.000 animals under the elk hunting .The elk is am polygamy, and the cows accepting bumper degree her at calves single-handed. This goes certainly along with mother along at next birth. An elk cow is able to give birth to around 20 calves during life, and getting certainly it first as she am, or dates back to year aged. Accordingly is it being prevalent that she give birth twins.
Sign…. Bad bad writing … but I hope you did understand SOME of it… sorry…
Take care.. Love
Kim

Wonderful picture. One little problem, those are not Elk they are moose. here is a link where you can see what elk look like. There are some simulatities to moose but moose are much darker and bigger. Its still a great shot though. http://www.hickerphoto.com/data/media/170/elk_pictures_t0850.jpg

I too thought these might be moose and not elk. Elk also have a little different body structure but most of all the ears and width of nose were curious for elk. They are also more apt to be still when they hear something since they realize their size is an asset in protecting themself. But, no matter what it is, this is a wonderful moment you captured and the young are very tender. Good shots. (wish I could understand what you wrote though. LOL)

Well captured! Good thing the Mom didn't see you as a threat, moose or elk can be quiet protective of their young. :o)

Hello and thank you for sharing this wonderful and exciting capture of what you call 'elk'. Indeed, here in the USA these are moose but may be called elk in Norway. It does not matter....they are wonderful and such cute babies with mother. They do not exist in my state of Illinois anymore but can be found in Quebec and other parts of Canada. This is a rare photograph for me, thank you :)
